Calculate the zero-velocity curve.

Parameters:

• R (float or Quantity) – Galactocentric radius

• E (float or Quantity) – Energy

• Lz (float or Quantity) – Angular momentum

• phi (float or Quantity, optional) – azimuth (default: 0.0)

• t (float or Quantity, optional) – time (default: 0.0)

Returns:

z – z such that Phi(R,z) + Lz/[2R^2] = E

Return type:

float or Quantity
